When visibility is low, your car can still see L5 signs

How it works - keeping autonomous vehicles in their lanes

  • In good conditions, LIDAR feedback provides a nice picture and precise location
  • With low visibility such as fog, smoke, heavy rain, heavy snow, snow covered roads and more, RADAR feedback will locate the L5 marker and with mapping feedback will tell you where you are relative to the road and lanes.

Providing the location confidence needed to steer your car

Keep it simple with L5 passive signs

As the rush is on to innovate affordable LIDAR systems and advance the use of RADAR technology, the fastest path to having autonomous vehicles on the road safely, is to maintain absolute positioning and give vehicles the ability to stay in their lanes in all weather conditions.  Note:  Vehicles may need to slow down in zero visibility environments.

Providing Absolute location and Local Hazard updates

L5 Signs can also provide temporary road updates for:

  • Construction projects in the roadway
  • Clean up crews in the roadway
  • Mowing on the edge of the roadway

Testing in progress. Make sure that your sensors are included

Working with the industry to be effective with current and future sensor systems and create safe and efficient roadways that benefit all.

Patents Pending

With vision to the future, our team is focused on bringing autonomous vehicles to our roads in higher volume, sooner and safer.
